I received a link from the Vermont Superintendents' Association today to the most recent Picus Odden & Associates Report prepared for the Governor and Legisture, entitled, Funding Vermont's Schools for the Future: A Policy Brief. The report summarizes the debate in Montpelier and around the state over education funding. I recommend reading it for some good background information. Please e-mail me and I will be glad to forward the link.
The original Picus report is also available on line.
The link under these pictures takes you to Rutland South Supervisory Union's Annual Report for 2013. The report shows the progress our schools continue to make and provides some highlights of what is happening in every building. Hardcopies of this report are available at each school and upon request from the Central Office.
Welcome to Rutland South Supervisory Union!
The communities of Clarendon, Shrewsbury, Wallingford, and Mill River Union High School are committed to ensuring that all students have the support they need to be successful in school and in life. We encourage you to visit our schools. Please talk to our teachers, administrators, and support staff and attend our school board meetings. See for yourself how we put the needs of our students at the forefront of every decision we make.
Our success is driven by our desire to maximize each student's learning and to build successful foundations for all students as they grow in our schools.
These web pages will show you what we do in our schools, how we strive to meet the needs of our students, and what you can do to get involved by attending meetings, contacting staff, and participating in school life.
